  • Senior University Professor in the Department of Business Administration and Marketing at the Universitat Jaume I in Castelló. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Studies from the University of Valencia, 
    MBA in Industrial Policy and Corporate Strategy from Maastricht Business School (Netherlands) 
    PhD in Business Management from the Universitat Jaume I. 
  • Visiting scholar at Copenhagen Business School (Denmark); at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Italy); at Alma Mater Studiorum – University of Bologna (Italy); and at the INGENIO Research Institute (UPV-CSIC) (Spain).

His research has focused on the study of inter-organisational proximity networks within clusters, the dimensions of social capital, and their implications for business innovation. He has led various research projects on these topics and has numerous publications in the fields of Business Strategy and Regional Economics, including in the following journals: Strategic Management Journal, Environment and Planning A, Research Policy, Long Range Planning, Journal of Small Business Management, Regional Studies, European Urban and Regional Science, Growth and Change and Entrepreneurship and Regional Development. 


He has served as President of ACEDE (Spanish Academy of Management), Director and Coordinator of the PhD programme at the Inter-University Institute for Local Development (IIDL), and Coordinator of the AERT-UJI research group and Director of the UJI-GVA Chair in Economic Model Transformation.
