José Vicente Tomás Claramonte

José Vicente Tomás Claramonte is a Spanish engineer, entrepreneur and business leader, widely recognised as the Founder and CEO of KERAjet, S.A., a global pioneer in the development of digital printing technologies and advanced machinery for the ceramic industry and other industrial sectors.

After graduating as an Industrial Technical Engineer from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) in 1989, he began his professional journey in industrial engineering and technological innovation. In 1996, he designed and manufactured his first machine tool for the ceramic industry, laying the technological foundations for what would later become KERAjet. 

In 1999, he founded KERAjet with the objective of developing advanced industrial digital printing systems based on Inkjet (drop-on-demand) technology. Under his leadership, the company played a key role in transforming traditional analogue decoration processes by introducing non-contact digital printing technologies, becoming an international benchmark in research, development and innovation. 

A native of Vila-real, where he was recently awarded the city's Medal of Honour, José Vicente Tomás maintains strong professional and industrial ties with Almassora, home to the company's headquarters and technological development centre. His contribution to innovation and regional industrial development has been recognised on numerous occasions by local institutions and organisations.

He continues to promote the concept of the fully digital factory, driving the technological integration of the entire manufacturing process, from pressing and decoration to packaging and logistics.

Throughout his career, he has received several distinctions for entrepreneurship and innovation. Among the most notable is the prestigious King Jaume I Award for Entrepreneurship (2014). He has also received multiple recognitions from local institutions and the Universitat Politècnica de València, which honoured him as a distinguished alumnus.
