Marisa Almeida

Marisa Almeida holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences and Engineering from the University of Aveiro and is Head of the Environment and Sustainability Unit at CTCV – Technological Centre for Ceramics and Glass. She holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Aveiro and a Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, specialising in Industrial Waste Management and Treatment, from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto.

Since 1993, she has coordinated CTCV's activities in the field of environment and sustainability, working on projects related to sustainability, the circular economy, life cycle assessment, environmental product declarations, waste management, decarbonisation and the energy transition. She is also involved in R&D&I projects across sectors including ceramics, glass, natural stone and cement, and participates in technical committees addressing sustainability in construction and environmental management.
