Javier Portolés Ibáñez is a chemical engineer and a recognised leader in innovation management, IoT, and applied industrial technologies. With a strong professional background that bridges materials science and advanced digital systems, he has successfully led technological transformation initiatives in highly competitive industries. His experience includes more than 20 years as Innovation Director at TAU Cerámica, as well as serving as co-founder and business lead of engineering firms specialising in IoT, audiovisual technologies, and emotional experience design (Inhedit Experience S.L. and Looper Experience S.L.). He has also contributed to the development of new business ventures in industrial inkjet printing systems for distribution logistics at Limitronic S.L.
Throughout his career, Portolés has distinguished himself by his ability to turn complex ideas into commercially viable solutions across multiple sectors. Holding more than 14 industrial patents and having coordinated dozens of high-impact projects, he has led multidisciplinary teams with a strong focus on process simplification and resource optimisation.
