Ángel López is the founder of Sofistic Cybersecurity and currently serves as CIO of its parent company, Cuatroochenta. A Computer Engineer with 19 years of experience in cybersecurity, he has worked extensively with the financial sector and critical infrastructures, participating in projects for more than 20 financial institutions across Latin America.
He is the co-founder and lecturer of two postgraduate cybersecurity programmes at the Universities of Castellón and Valencia. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with incident response centres and government intelligence agencies in several countries.
Specialised in digital fraud prevention, he has developed fraud protection systems and cybersecurity strategies based on artificial intelligence and automation. He is also an investor in Onum, Zynap and Acoru, among other cybersecurity and fraud-prevention startups.
