About...

Ana Ferrández Montero holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering and is a researcher at the Institute of Ceramics and Glass (ICV-CSIC). Her scientific work focuses on the development of polymer/inorganic composite biomaterials, advanced materials processing and additive manufacturing, with particular emphasis on applications in regenerative medicine, tissue engineering and biomedical devices.

She is a co-founder of COLFEED4Print, a CSIC spin-off specialising in the development of advanced materials for 3D printing, where she works in the field of biomaterials. At ICV-CSIC, she also leads a Cell Culture and Bioprinting Laboratory focused on studying the interaction between ceramic materials and biological systems, including biocompatibility, 3D bioprinting and the in vitro evaluation of materials.
