The president of the Chamber of Commerce, Mª Dolores Guillamón, emphasised that the creation of Ignite is “a firm response to the ceramics sector, which needed a showcase of excellence managed with transparency”. For this reason, Ignite is not merely an alternative, but a natural evolution reflecting “the transformation of an industry that has moved from resistance to active resilience”.

About the brand

The congress’s identity has been developed by the strategic consultancy Karate, under the direction of Jorge Segarra. The name “Ignite” emerges as an action-packed and inspiring verb that seeks to expand and renew the concept of the congress, moving away from the exclusive notion of “quality” to embrace “new ideas” and innovation in its fullest sense. Karate, under the direction of Jorge Segarra. The name “Ignite” emerges as an action-packed and inspiring verb that seeks to expand and renew the concept of the congress, moving away from the exclusive notion of “quality” to embrace “new ideas” and innovation in its fullest sense.

The brand is underpinned by a contemporary visual identity that uses the green colour of the city of Castellón as its banner and origin. According to Segarra, the project “is not just a new creation, but an opportunity to build on a 36-year history, becoming a platform of inspiration for new generations to rediscover their pride in ceramics”.

New format

For his part, the conference’s technical director Pedro Hernández, has outlined a structure that breaks with traditional formats to focus on real-world impact and strategic decision-making.

The conference programme is structured around three pillars designed to balance academic rigour with strategic impact on the sector. Firstly, the Scientific and Technical Papers uphold the event’s prestige through a peer-review system carried out by independent experts, which guarantees the quality of the data and prevents the content from being purely commercial.

On the other hand, the Key Industry Presentations will offer a genuine strategic vision, as they will feature senior executives and technology leaders with direct authority over the business and operations of leading companies. Finally, the Strategic Forums will consist of guided debates between experts and regulators which, far from being improvised round tables, generate actionable conclusions in the form of recommendations and warnings for sector leaders.

Finally, the content of Ignite will be structured around five thematic areas that address the industry’s real challenges. These include real and competitive decarbonisation, focused on viable electrification and hydrogen; deep digitalisation through artificial intelligence and digital twins; the development of advanced ceramic materials for applications in healthcare and mobility; comprehensive sustainability as a condition for market access; and industrial geopolitics to analyse global competition in markets such as China and India.

With this approach, the congress aims to be the forum where the trends shaping the future of ceramics are anticipated, providing useful knowledge to enhance European competitiveness.
